India accidentally fires missile into Pakistan

Pakistan Thursday claimed an unarmed Indian supersonic missile took off from Sirsa and landed at a place 124 km within Pakistani territory on Wednesday evening. The missile, it said, was cruising at an altitude of 40,000 feet.
There were no human setbacks. While there were no delicate establishments in the area where it landed, a wall did fall, the Pakistan military said.
At a question and answer session Thursday evening, Major General Babar Iftikhar, Director General, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistani Armed Forces said at 1843 hours on March 9, "a rapid flying object was picked up inside Indian flying area via Air Defense Operations Center of the Pakistani Air Force. From its underlying course the onject abruptly moved towards Pakistani territory and violated Pakistan's airspace at last falling close to Mia Channu."
New Delhi: India Friday confirmed that a missile had entered Pakistan from India Wednesday due to “accidental firing” caused by “a technical malfunction” in the “course of routine maintenance”.
On 9 March 2022, in the course of routine maintenance, a technical malfunction led to the accidental firing of a missile. The Government of India has taken a serious view and ordered a high-level court of inquiry,” the Indian Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
